THE JOURNEY TO VIOLINS
My Journey into Violin Making
My path to violin making was perhaps unexpected, but it has become a significant part of my life. It all began with my fascination for this royal musical instrument, its beautiful shape, and sophisticated sound. My passion for the art of the violin eventually led me to a violin-making school in Cheb. Though nearly nine hours away from my home, this school became, for a time, the place where I discovered my new artistic calling.
At the violin-making school, I was given the opportunity to delve into the secrets of crafting violins and to briefly become part of the violin-making world. There is an indescribable feeling that comes with holding spruce and maple wood in your hands, smelling its scent, and shaping it into perfect violin plates. Although the pandemic interrupted my studies, my enthusiasm for the craft has remained unwavering.
I believe that violin making is not just about precision work, flawless technique, and choosing the right materials. Each violin is a unique form of art that, above all, requires the personality of the maker.
